1. Newman Planer #512, 16" x 6", does 2 sides and 2 edges
2. Orton Machine Co., S. F. CA, type C 30" planer
C-404 29774
3. Mershon Bandsaw, #8001, W. B. Mershon Company, Saginaw Michigan,
46" wheels, 4" blade, has two sets of wheels so it can run two blades,
only one blade is on now. Hydraulic feed rollers
The bandsaw and the 30" planer were running last year, but have been unused since
then. The redwood business which owned them went out of business. They both have 25 hp
motors and the bandsaw would require another motor to run the second blade. They both are
presently wired for 480V but can be rewired to run on 220V. The 16" planer has no
motor. The 16" planer weighs approx. 20000 lb, the 30" planer weighs approx.
2000 lb, and the bandsaw weighs approx. 10000 lb. I estimate all these machines of 1920's
or 1930's vintage.
The bandsaw measures 8' wide, 9' deep and 10' 1" tall. You can see in the pictures
that the bandsaw is mounted on I-beams, because it's designed to sit over a pit that the
bottom wheels hang into. The shaft that the belts go to is the center of the bottom wheel.
There is a shaft that sticks out the other side to run the second blade.
I can't load them or ship them, that would be up to the buyer. I want $1200 for the
bandsaw and $1500 for the 30" planer and $1000 for the 16" planer. I would also
be interested in trading. The machines are in Sacramento CA.

The planer shown above was sold to a machinery reconditioner in New Hampshire. Chism Machinery.
It was combined with another planer to make the planer shown in the following pictures. Nice work.
